About Us

Peter started his career at the Building Research Establishment in 1996, specialising in residential sound insulation, research, diagnostics and measurement. After many years working in acoustic consultancy, Peter became Principal Acoustic Consultant to the National House Building Council. 

In 2016 Peter formed Assured Acoustics, to return his knowledge and experience to industry; to help raise standards, and protect the health and well-being of building users.

In addition to his role as director, Peter is a UKAS Technical Assessor for Pre-Completion Testing, IOA education course committee member and exam moderator for the Certificate of Competence of Building Acoustics Measurement (CCBAM),  BSi committee member for building acoustics (EH/1/6), and a corporate member of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA) since 2001.

In 2019 Assured Acoustics became members of the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC)
